1. Common sense isn't always right: common sense isn't reality.

This is why it's so fundamental to be well-educated and well-cultivated. Because common sense is telling us we're all okay with the knowledge we already have, common sense is teaching us to be ignorant. Therefore, you can see how it's not helping, that's why I am saying that the truth might not be in common sense but on the other way of thinking; logical-thinking.

Common sense is quite often a baseless belief, assumption, notion, knowledge, etc. Common sense is based on very simple perception of things; simple logic without depth; surface and vague thinking. It's a laid-back, effortless, and painless approach to life. Common sense is also associated with guessing, randomly doing something, uncalculated moves, ignorance, etc. Common sense can make you lose sight of opportunities or even your purposes and the real meaning of life (reality). It can make you ignore your cultivated benchmarks and standards and fall for other simple means of life.

As said above, it can make you ignore education; the fact that you know so little and must strive for distinction in everything and must love knowledge with your whole heart. Common sense will have you believe that doing what you love means sitting back and enjoying the TV or playing about. And I want to make a clarification here, common sense is often used interchangeably with natural instincts. For example, you're often told to use your instincts to judge and complete particular tasks. However, your instinct is no different to common sense, and in fact, they're one; following your instincts equates to using common sense. Animals also operate by their instincts; does it help much, does it help to operate at a very low level of awareness where you're just presumptuous and vague rather than mathematical and strict? Yes and no; common sense only helps to a certain point and it's very limited, but seeking real accuracy and precision in everything is what leads to the real truth and meaning, and it's the opposite of ignorance.

The fact is, common sense is not reality, so it should be a term you associate with so much. Besides, common sense is defined differently by well-educated intellectuals. Common sense can mean something is easy to understand and is not that complex or sophisticated. It can also be close to reality. But generally speaking, common sense is a very dangerous idea. It's a vague, ignorant, and assumptive way of living and most of us are carrying that approach to life.

Just imagine someone telling you that the right approach to life is common sense, or that you should take life as it comes and just flow with it. Like, what exactly does that mean. I know it has many meanings e.g. do not worry, there's nothing to lose, just make the best of life, but it can also mean something else. It can also mean 'be ignorant, do not understand life, just flow with everything, we all don't know but we simply flow with everything, etc' Like, you can very clearly see that ignorance in there, right? sit back and go with the world and don't be proactive or take life very seriously, that's the mainstream self-help, and best advice you'll get out there in the world.

Another example is: imagine you're an engineer and your colleague tells you to use common sense for a particular measurement. It works, right. Also, imagine the common sense that a good looking book cover is the right book with good content. Or that a good looking person or their cover or skin is evidence they're righteous and all healthy (No consideration of other factors at all). Another example is, thinking about the particular food you eat only does good and not bad - in essence, being ignorant of the potentially bad side of the food. For example, holding an opinion that smoking weed only does good for you and being completely ignorant of the bad it does. And perhaps the bad it does is .orw damaging than the good it does. But you will have yourself believe that since many people haven't died from it, you're also going to be like them. You see that not considering how we're all different.

Common sense isn't always true. Common sense isn't reality.

When we tell you to follow your common sense, we basically ignoring everything and telling you to follow whatever you feel is right for you. We're not really helping you, we're just saying think and decide for yourself.

Common sense will tell you to ignore the real reality of something, maybe something is seriously affecting u and limiting ur potential, common sense; which includes others opinions and beliefs, culture, and society, will tell you to be ignorant. Common sense is the doctors that look at your conditions and say "I don't think it's something major" until you find yourself dying. Common sense can limit and stop u from taking actions, it can make you submissive, fearful, and ignorant, etc. Common sense will turn you into a more agreeable person with less consideration for logic. Common sense is very dangerous and can be vague and an excuse.

The ultimate solution

The ultimate solution for all the ignorance, vagueness, assumptions, flawed thinking, jokes, unseriousness, etc., is precisely the opposite of them all. This means you must be serious, be extremely open-minded, seek clarity and truth honestly, truthfully, and to the fullest degree. Scrutinise literally everything without any limitations. Do not stay silent and ignorant and just listen to everything and commandments you're told to listen to; find out yourself rather than relying entirely on what others tell you. Think to yourself is this truly right? Be an intellectual, love knowledge with your whole heart, seek clarity and distinction in everything. Keep studying and stop making vague assumptions and beliefs; think deep to the core and use your brain before decision-making. All of those are ways you can take to grow and become a well-grounded and excellent individual and it will save you from countless troubles and losses.

02. Summary

The main point of this great guide was as follow:

What we need to be seeking in life or approaching life is not common sense. A common-sense roadmap to life is a dangerous and unclearly defined path that leads to chaos. Common sense is walking life blindfolded and not being concerned about serious issues at all. Common sense will have you believe it's okay to sit back and ignore some serious issues that will tomorrow torment your life. It will tell you to ignore your future and that nothing can go worse, etc., plus several examples I've given. It's time to be very careful and approach our lives very carefully and measure all factors before making any decisions; a calculated approach to life is the right mean of living.

03. Conclusion

Congratulations!

Well done, you've made it once again; another one in the bag, an outstanding achievement. Definitely, something to be proud of for it's not so easy. You've achieved something most people don't and will never have. So, be grateful and realise your blessings, and pat yourself on the back; reading alone is in itself a success.
